Hot Tips from Lake Lewisville Fishing Guides

White bass school in the main lake during summer; follow the birds and use small clear torpedo topwater plugs.

Lake Lewisville Fishing Guides Love White Bass

White bass are vulnerable to angling when they migrate upstream on the Elm Fork of the Trinity River.   Two to three weeks prior to the migration, they concentrate around the mouths of the tributary streams and become easy prey. At other times of the year, they can be found surfacing around the lake and feeding on threadfin shad. Effective baits include small surface baits in silver, white, yellow or chartreuse; silver spoons; slabs; and minnows.

Lake Lewisville Fishing Regulations

For striped and hybrid striped bass, minimum length limit = 18 inches and daily bag limit = 5 in any combination. For white bass, minimum length = 10 inches and daily bag is 25. There are no bag or size limits for yellow bass.
